Founded in 2016.
We have worked on project planning, design and or delivery in 12 states.
Licensed to practice in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Texas and Wisconsin.
Services have been provided as the Architect of Record or as a consultant on a 1099 basis.
Current assignments are in the Commercial, Healthcare and Residential markets.
WHO WE ARE
A design practice founded by Jib Chapman, whose 29 years of experience as designer and design principal at Loebl Schlossman & Hackl provides the foundation and inspiration for Studio Level 1.
Chapman's previous experience includes work with VOA Associates, Skidmore, Owings and Merrill and Norman DeHaan Associates in Chicago and Darroff Design and Venturi, Scott Brown Associates in Philadelphia.
He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design from the California College of the Arts in 1979 and
Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1985, he is a member of the American Institute of Architects, maintains NCARB certification and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
Awards include: Design Excellence Award, Chicago Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Precast and Prestressed Concrete Institute, National Design Excellence Award, Architectural Woodworking Institute, National Design Award and the ASHE VISTA Award.

Our design process is based on collaboration with our clients and other design disciplines. Our goal is to exceed your expectations, and provide outstanding service throughout the project development cycle.
We believe elegant and creative solutions are not possible without a thorough understanding of the goals and functional requirements of the project.
The practice delivers a blend of small firm service with big firm technical expertise and experience. Project design and production capabilities will be augmented thru collaborations with design professionals with whom we have worked successfully in the past.
We use REVIT, a building information modeling software package to produce all project documentation. The profession has identified many benefits to working in a 3 dimensional environment. As a designer, being able to share ideas and explore design and material options by taking views from the model has proven to be invaluable.
Our management of the design and construction process is based on outstanding communication with the client and all other team members. Issues are resolved thru collaboration and creative problem solving, the goal is to preserve quality and not increase the project cost.
As design team leader, we can propose consulting engineers and specialists to provide the full range of services and support required throughout all phases of project design and construction.
